2. Extra words nobody asked for

Today is another one of those days. It seems like a lot of things are happening, but they are all boring or annoying. Like Bernie Sanders talking to National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Jayanta Bhattachary in the most obnoxious of ways.

Paraphrase: Did you show Kennedy the evidence that vaccines don't cause autism?

Who's side is he on? He's gotta be smart right? There's no such thing as evidence that shows something is not true. That's just not how the world works.

Sure, we can find no evidence of it happening, but we cannot find evidence that it is not happening. This is a very important distinction, words are important.

Bernie is up first after the chairman, and the first thing he does is a personal attack against Trump followed by an appeal to emotion. These people need to act like professionals. These people need to stop with the invalid and unsound arguments. Get real work done.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that this stuff upsets me, but these are the leaders of the land acting in such barbaric ways.

They should be discussing on how to make America better, not trying to convince people something can be proven to be not true.

This needs to stop being political theater. I'm tired of it.

Democrat comes on and complains a lot while getting reasonable answers, and then complains about those answers.

Republican comes on and basically affirms positive aspects of current policy. Useless.

Another Republican comes on and trashes the previous admin, which doesn't matter at all, just a waste of time.

These should be real meetings that are televised. Not a stage for our elected politicians to play politics.

I'm only halfway through at this point, I'm sure I'll have more to rant.

So far Senator Maggie Hassan is the only one to put up anything real to say, and even she's pretty off in the weeds. Asking about vaccines as a whole and expecting an answer labeling them all safe, and then changing the question by stating that it's more about the stuff common to all vaccines…

After having watched the rest, most people seem reasonable enough. Sanders is a problem, and many others had nothing useful to say or ask, but at the same time many discussed real things and acted respectfully.

I decided to take lots of clips and post them to my X account @techshotgun, be sure to check that out.

Alright, I've finished it. It was actually overall decent. I've clipped everything I thought worth showing.

If you made it through this mess o7 thanks for reading!
