2. Extra words nobody asked for

2.1. Violent crime plummets across major U.S. cities

Okay. This is what you need to see.

First, X. Their link on X says "Crime plunges in major cities despite Trump's crackdown rhetoric"

So clearly, they are trying to persuade before the article. And it doesn't even make sense.

Crime drops? In spite of, Trump saying he's dropping crime? While crime is dropping during his administration?

Okay…

axios-bs.png

I guess they changed their headline later, but the damage is done.

When we get to the article "Violent crime plummets across major U.S. cities"

Then they should a graph of homicide rates…

Come on people, the only way for this to be legitimate is to include all crime that may have led to a homicide if medical services were not available.

Maybe a graphic of assault with a deadly weapon would work well enough.

Anyway, they say violent crime drops and has this to say after

""" Why it matters: The stats were yet another sign that violent crime in the U.S. was starkly different from what President Trump cited as his reason for sending federal troops to Chicago, Portland, Washington, D.C., Memphis and cities in California. """

Uhm. What? So Trump said violent crime is a problem, so he's working on violent crime, and the crime drops, therefore Trump is exaggerating that crime needs to be reduced?

/sigh
