I'm somewhat surprised that Binden's FBI advised against this.

Imagine a regular war. You have intel, equipment, troops, and people to manage all of that.

Imagine you are Ukraine without NATO support, all you have is troops. Sure, they had some intel and ability, but almost all of that has been upgraded from Ukraine level skills, equipment, and ability, to NATO skills, equipment, and ability.

It's hard to speculate, as I am no war expert, but what if there was a direct conflict Russia vs NATO…

Would it be much different?

The battle lines would be a bit wider. but not too much. Basically just Finland and Turkey. Assuming NATO doesn't try to push into Russia like a game of HOI4, the war isn't much different.

Maybe American air power would get involved take air superiority, but that's the biggest difference I see happening. And even then, America may not want that.

Well, European air power would certainly get involved, but without American air power, do they really have a chance?

Hard to say, but I suspect the war wouldn't be much different.

These psycos broke into a factory and used a sledgehammer against a female police officer.

They were found guilty of criminal damage, and the person who attacked the officer was guilty of that too.

They were sentenced as terrorists.

So, they damaged millions of dollars with equipment,seriously injured a police officer, and have been convicted of terrorism.

The judge said they are getting some harsh punishment.

They're in jail for life right? Maybe even executed? Especially the one who hit the officer with a sledge?

What? This is a harsh punishment? Considering the crimes and the convictions, this is nothing.

Crazy to think you'd capture a terrorist who nearly killed an officer and say, well, 9 years is plenty.

No. Life in prison. Nothing less is acceptable. I am 100% against state sanctioned executions of their own citizens (I have no idea the citizenship statuses here), but I'd expect to be executed if I committed that same crime. Heck, I figure just about any terrorist conviction would end in death.
