That's right, everyone except France and Britten seem to be pulling out.

This is a bit of an issue.

Obviously local manufactures don't want foreign competition. Especially competition that can beat them on price.

Give how tech driven cars are these days, it's a real danger to allow an adversary into our auto market.

However, We sorely need access to cheap vehicles. I'm not sure a new vehicle can be had for under 20 grand these days, and that's far too much for too little.

We need to bring back cheap vehicles, especially cheap vehicles for large families and work.

There's no excuse that a basic work truck or van costs north of 50k out the door these days.

And for people with large families? The large families that America needs to prosper? There is nothing in terms of affordable transportation for anyone but the wealthy.

Our best bet is a used minivan, which is decent, but even the cheapest new minivan these days is north of $40,000.

The used market is okay, but people should be able to afford vehicles for work and families.

Basic Pickup trucks used to be cheap, but they don't exist anymore. Mini vans too used to be cheap, but now? Nope. Or even the mighty Chevy vans, which have had near 0 changes since 1996, went from 18k or so new to a crazy 42,200 MSRP.

By the way, adjusted for inflation, that 18k is about 40k in today's dollars. I guess it's all inflation.

People complain about inflation for food going from one small number to another small number (it adds up, and yes, it is awful), but when inflation hit's things that cost 10s of thousands of dollars…. it's a massive difference.

But, in any case, things usually get cheaper over time, not slightly more expensive, when they don't change.

According to perplexity, it guesses that the van would cost about 30-35k MSRP if not for mandatory government upgrades.

That's quite a bit of cost, and may be more reasonable for a business to consume.

But the facts remain that a modest vehicles is going to be 35-50k, which is a lot for single income non-wealthy families.

I'm digressing too much, here's a tl;dr

Duh competition doesn't want Chinese cars on the market. We really could use some cheap automobile options. It's dangerous to have a rival manufacture our vehicles.

I don't know about Reuters. They have a headline like that, and then say mystery sources say it was likely a US strike, thus it must be a us strike.

The article goes on to say to say that Iran reported 18 dead in the last assault.

Perplexity tells us that reports say there were five deaths so far, three women and two children with 67-68 injured.

See what they did? They tried to link the wedding incident to the total kills. Reuters is being obviously anti-American when reporting like this. It's pretty messed up.

Also, if 67-68 people were injured, that tells me there were at least 67-68 people there.

If an American bomb dropped on such a place, there would be a lot more than 5 people dead.

American's did hit a nearby military installation, so this could be secondary damage.

Also, Iran had some failed missiles that fell out of the sky in the area. Seems to me that's likely what happened.

It's insane to think a bomb drops on a crowd of people and only 5 die.

What is this nonsense? Attacking security forces is an escalation of the war?

Ukraine has been bombing civilian targets and economic targets day after day.

Reports say Russia is doing the same, but I'm skeptical on account of the news sources, but it seems likely anyway.

So how the hell is attacking a military target an escalation?

This is a trial of not whether a woman murdered her kids, we all know she did, this is a trial of whether or not women are responsible for their own actions.

If she is found innocent, then precedent is set that women cannot be held liable for murder. And if that's the case, then women are not of sound judgment and will shortly have their rights eroded.

FFS people, just lock her up and move on.

Here's my fact check:

At best he's friends with terrorist supporters and hates Michigan. At worst he's directly involved with terrorism.

You see how different that is? There are two options. He either is or is not directly involved. We cannot have indisputable facts of that without serious evidence.

However, he's clearly, at the very least, indirectly involved.

Also he hates Michigan, he quite literally said, "I hate Mackinac so much."

Who cares if it's a specific place in Michigan? It's still Michigan. We can't have someone in power who hates any part of Michigan.

Also, he doubled down on it so… yea… Bad.
