Look. Both Ukraine and Russia have zero desire to be involved with an incident while the US is in Russia.

Putin calls for a three day ceasefire, and Ukrainian media outlets report they will hold fire Saturday midnight until Tuesday according to RT.

The US shows up and both sides immediately go, "Woah! let's take a break." Obviously Russia should do the ceasefire since they are hosting a delegation, but Kiev hasn't always responded in kind.

It'll be interesting to see if both sides actually hold fire, or if they are just words.

So, yes, Putin pardoned an American jailed in Russia for getting drunk and fighting police.

But the crazy thing is, RT said that a Trump Truth Social said "Russia asked for no one in return."

So, more support to my many arguments that Russia wishes to work more with the US. Some may call it sucking up, or whatever, but this is also the way to improve relations.
